How to Measure Podcast Social Media Results
Almost at 300 Podcast Episodes
I wouldn’t have believed you!
If you would’ve told me back in 20219 that I’d hit 300 podcast episodes only 2 years after I went all in on podcasting, I wouldn’t have believed you. Actually at this point – between The Proffitt Podcast and my daily show The Poddy Report, we’re almost at 700 episodes!
So I know what it takes to create content for a podcast on social media and measure those results for your show.
Today, we’re diving into how to measure those results and when you’ll know that what you’re doing on social media is actually working for your podcast.
How to Measure Podcast Social Media Results
Get those posts and episodes re-shared on social media.
There are a few ways to get your podcast re-shared across social media, but one of the best ways is to:
- Have listeners take a screen shot of the latest podcast episode they’re listening to
- Ask them to tag you online
- Re-share those posts on your own social media channels
But where do the results come in?
Look at your podcast stats for the last 30 days. Ask yourself, “Are these typical download numbers for a month?” Then, start measuring.
For the next 30 days, I encourage you to try new techniques with social media to see if your podcast numbers increase over time. Check out the resources below to see what podcast social media strategies you can try.
