WHAT’S THIS EPISODE ABOUT?

7 People to Help You with Your Podcast

“If someone could just help me with my podcast…that would be amazing!” If you’ve had this thought repeatedly, then today’s episode is extra special for you. I’m giving you 7 people that can help improve your podcast and I can’t wait to share with you all the nuggets-o-wisdom I have for you today!

1. Virtual Assistant

The first person I suggest starting with to help you with your podcast is a Virtual Assistant. But let me make something very clear, you have to know exactly what it is you do in order to have the ability to help you. If you don’t know the exact processes that need to happen for your podcast, how are they going to be able to help you?

Make sure you have a clear plan in place before you go seeking someone to help you!

What can they do to help you?

  • Scheduling Interviews
    • For Your Podcast & For You to Guest on Other Podcasts
  • Social Media Posts
  • Graphics
  • Outlines/Show Notes
  • Editing
  • Scheduling Podcast Episodes

Listen to my episode with Sam about working with Virtual Assistants for your podcast.

2. Podcast Editor

You record your podcast files and your podcast editor will turn your file into a finished episode. You’ll have the ability to just show up, record, and be done with it!

Check out my episode with Chris to learn more about finding a podcast editor.

3. Podcast Launch Manager

They just help you launch your podcast. This isn’t necessarily someone that you have on your staff long-term, but they can help you reach your podcast launch goals.

They are super organized and they’re already in the industry. So they know the biz and they know what goes into launching a podcast.

Listen to “How to Launch a Podcast” & “Podcast Launch Goals” to know how a Podcast Launch Manager can help you.

4. Podcast Content Manager

“Ideation” – the creation of ideas

There are people out there who can come up with podcast content ideas ALL.THE.TIME! (I happen to be one of these people and it is definitely a gift!) But a podcast content manager is able to help you strategically develop content for your podcast!

Before hiring a Podcast Content Manager, make sure you check out 9 Ways to Brainstorm Podcast Content Ideas here!

5. Podcast Coach or Consultant

If you want to hire a podcast coach or consultant, you have to be committed and serious about your goals! Podcast coaches and consultants aren’t cheap and you don’t want to be wasting anyone’s time.

But if you’re serious about taking your podcast to the next level, a knowledgable and experienced podcast coach can help you reach your goals. Whether it’s getting more downloads, turning your podcast into a full-blown business, or gaining the attention of brands in your industry, podcast coaches can help you in a variety of ways!

6. Podcast Marketing Manager

A Podcast Marketing Manager is similar to a social media marketing manager, except they concentrate solely on your podcast content and what you have going on. If marketing isn’t your strong suit, then I encourage you to seek out someone who can help you in this arena.

You can create a marketing plan with your Podcast Marketing Manager and have them execute it.

Here are some marketing tips from “How to Market a Podcast”.

7. Podcast Manager

They handle the post writeups, create content, track downloads, work on marketing and social media, etc. They literally do EVERYTHING for your podcast for you except recording your podcast audio.

But be cautious…

There’s a reason why this was the very last suggestion. There’s something to be said about you handling and understanding all of the things involved in your podcast. You know what’s going on. You know how to do everything.

But if someone else develops this for you from the ground up, then you may be up a creek without a paddle if the relationship dissolves and you have no idea what the Podcast Manager was doing!
