1. Be Proactive

  • Being proactive instead of reactive can make all the difference in the world.

2. Begin With The End In Mind

  • What are you trying to achieve?
  • Whether it’s a clean house, a project you’re managing, grow your email list, lose 50 pounds…whatever you’re trying to accomplish…begin with that at the forefront of your mind when you’re planning.

3. Put First Things First

  • What’s the most important goal you have in your business? Your life? These are the things that you need to concentrate on first every single day.
  • There’s a great Book that I read that’s been recommended several times and it’s called, “Eat That Frog”.
    • The idea is that you do the one task then I’ll move all of your goals further along the first part of the day. Are you trying to build your email list? Are you trying to lose weight? Are you trying to engage with more people on mine? Do those things first!
    • Try to get two more subscribers first thing in the morning. Mill prep for the entire week Monday morning. Send five emails to prospective clients first thing in the morning. But the point is to the one thing that will help you grow or progress further.

4. Think Win-win

  • What’s something that I can that will pack a double-duty effect?
  • For example, I think of meal planning.
    • Not meal prepping necessarily because I don’t make my meals a week at a time for the family, but I do meal planning.
    • Decide in advance what we’ll eat over the next few days and shop for those items. This saves me time, money, and my sanity because the kids have buy-in on what we’re going to have for the week.

5. Seek First To Understand, Then Be Understood

  • This concept has been really hard for me because I have always wanted to be understood. Are used to have a hard time listening to other people because I was always thinking of what I was going to say to them instead of really listening and hearing what they had to say.
  • Try to make it a point to listen to people five times more than I talk. I love the saying God gave you two years and only one mouth for a reason, we’re supposed to listen twice as much as we talk.
  • Use this concept in your business and in your daily life in order to learn more and progress faster

6. Synergize

  • I know that this concept is normally applied to team environments, but how can you synergize parts of your life? How can you create a schedule that allows you to make the most of your day?
  • Here are some examples of what I’ve done in order to make the most out of my day week and my months: I started putting in at the most important things on my calendar first.
  • And it’s funny because these are necessary what other people would consider “important”, but they are some of the most important things in order for me to live a happy and for filled life. They are: working out, riding every single morning, being done with my work when the kids get home from school, meal planning and cooking for my family, spending time with my audience every single day, and creating time for date nights with my husband.

7. Sharpen The Saw

  • When I think of the term sharpen the saw I think of using your best abilities and personality traits to make the most out of everything that you do. For example, I know I’m awful at certain things! So for those tasks, I have to add any more time into my schedule or I have to outsource them clearly!
  • But I know I love doing live streams. So I try to do more of that on a weekly basis. Do the things that don’t even make you feel the best version of yourself! I guess time flies when you’re having fun!
