Episode 317
Online Marketing Made Easy, Podcast Case Study
“I’ve been an OMME fan for years!”
Today’s episode satisfied my inner podcast and marketing nerd!
I’ve been listening to the Online Marketing Made Easy Podcast since 2017-2018ish and it’s probably the most downloaded podcast on my phone! Amy Porterfield, who’s my virtual and actual mentor, has been hosting the show since 2013! Almost an entire decade of podcasting!
Can we give her a standing ovation for that!?!
But I’m constantly told, “I want a podcast just like Amy Porterfield’s!” So much so, that I feel like I need to create a workshop titled: “How to Have a Podcast Just Like Amy Porterfield”
No workshop. But instead, I went on a deep dive into her podcast journey:
- Listening to her first episode
- Show notes over the years
- Big Milestones and Wins
- My Biggest takeaways
This was such a fun episode to create and can’t wait to hear what you think about it. So, let’s get started…
First Episode of Online Marketing Made Easy Podcast
Biggest Insights into Episode One:
- The 1st thing that jumped out at me from Amy’s first episode was the voice-over. If you go back and listen to episode one, you’ll hear a man’s voice-over at the beginning and at the end of the episode. Having listened to the podcast for a long time, I forgot she used to have this as a feature of her podcast.
- Looking at the episode description on my phone, I noticed it was A LOT longer than her typical show notes today. There were many mentions of what was in the episode and a lot more detail than her 2-3 lines shared today.
