My B School Story, My “Why” from 2019

Looking at the Past

I’m super proud to say this, but one of my biggest flaws is my tendency to hoard paper. Yes, like documents around the house – in so many shapes and forms.

I’ve held onto papers from my high school days, random worksheets my kids have done for school, and even freebies that I got when I first started my business. If it’s important to me, I’ll print it out and keep it. (Probably shoved into a dark closet somewhere in my house.)

But today, I wanted to share with you how my “paper hoarding” has helped me – and essentially can help you too. 

I’m digging into my B School archives from 2019.

 If you’re not familiar with B School, this is an online program that my mentor, Marie Forleo, launches every year. (And this summer – for the first time ever! – she’s doing a summer session. You can learn more about it here.)

But in taking B School, I had to do a lot of work on who I wanted to be as an entrepreneur and WHY I was wanting to go on this journey in the first place.

And, because of my ability to never let go of a sheet of a paper, I’m sharing with you today a page that I literally took out of my B School notebook from back in 2019. (And let me tell ya, it’s in mint condition!)

One of the first exercises I had to do inside the B School program was to figure out my “Why”. Why am I doing this? Why now? Why do any of this? Why even try?
