But, How Do You End Your Podcast Episode?

My good friend Melanie, host of the DIY Marketing School Podcast, asked me one day, “Why is it so hard to finish my podcast episode?” As a master at live video and interacting with clients, she figured creating a podcast outro would be easy.

But I let her in the on the truth, “It IS a little tricky to end your podcast episodes when you’re getting started. And sometimes you do feel geeky/dorky/[insert other synonyms for silly] when you’re trying to end your show.” And that’s totally normal.

But here are 3 different ways for you to create a podcast outro:

1. Recap

Need a tangible takeaway from your episode

2. Tagline

Wha’s the tagline of your show? If you don’t have one, be sure to check out the episode all about creating a podcast tagline.

3. Podcast Modeling

Listen to other podcasts and see how they end their shows. “Until next time…” “I’ll see you in the next episode…”

But DO NOT copy anyone!
Be original.
Be you.

And one more thing to remember…
Don’t leave everybody hanging.
